Take key out of ignition, Jeep thinks its still in there
For the last month, whenever I take my key out, the deal keeps dinging saying my key is still in there. It doesnt let me lock or unlock my doors with my fob.....If i take it in and out a bunch of times, sometimes it randomly will recognize the key isnt in there.....
Any ideas?

I don't know the fix for the problem but if it gets to a situation where you can't get it to work right at all you could unplug the wiring connector to both doors, the way you would in preparation for removing them. The key reminder chime stops when those connections are unplugged.

re:
Another possibility..
Make sure your tumbler is popping out when you shut off your ignition and remove the key. I had similar symptoms. The dealership had worked on the steering column and tightened the plastic shroud off center, which made the tumbler stick. Simple fix if that's your problem, loosen one screw, center and retighten..
