Default Taking Off The Soft Top Assembly

Just got my JK last week with the Freedom Top on..I want to take-off the soft-top assembly which was installed from the factory? Do I need to take-off the Freedom top before I ca get the sof-top assembly out?

I was able to remove the Torx screws (T40) to the hardtop to loosen it up and then I had two friends lift the back end of the hardtop enough to slip out the soft top (I think a foot or so). It wasn't that hard and it was easier then removing the entire hard top.
