A tale of two vehicles
I get all that except there really is no good reason for a dealer not to tell you if you would have let them confirm the problem . A warranty claim is really the only way they are guaranteed to get the work. What I don’t understand is you posting how everyone screwed you over about a fix for a problem you admittedly never even had diagnosed. It just seems odd to feel cheated because nobody told you about fix for a problem you aren’t really sure you ever qualified for and never bothered to have professionally looked at. I would totally understand if you actually had the issue diagnosed and qualified for the problem to be fixed under warranty but nobody told you. That’s simply not the case from what you’ve described
Your first sentence is the point. There really isn't any reason the dealership wouldn't have told me about the TSB, but they didn't. Why didn't they? That's a damn good question, isn't it? I have no proof they didn't so neither the dealership nor Jeep is willing to do anything to address it. It's a non issue at this point. The CEL hasn't been back on in weeks. I'll check the plugs and coils when I get ready, and if it's the cylinder head, I'll take care of it and you can consider this post a cautionary tail.
I'm not accusing anyone of screwing me. I don't expect anyone to do the right thing these days. 31 years in public service as a firefighter and a paramedic, I've never refused to help someone, even when most emergencies are the result of someone doing something stupid. So I don't have a lot of patients with people who don't give a damn about doing the right thing. Most people are more concerned with avoiding responsibility and liability, not doing the right thing.

Did you own the Jeep from new? I received notice from chrysler on my 2011 Dodge Journey that there was a potential head issue and they had extended the warranty, never had to use it but they did notify customers back when it was discovered (2013 or 2014 I think)
Yeah, we bought it new from the same dealership. We've received two notices about known issues and had both done under warranty. I can't remember what they were for. One was a mirror issue I believe. I've also received a notice about a fuel tank strap on my RAM 1500 that they took care of. This is all another reason I can't figure out why we didn't get a notification about the cylinder head issue.
