im pretty sure you can use it easily, ARB onboard air supplies you with a switch that mounts nicely in that spot.

There is a circut board behind there, but you can fit a switch with a low-profile connector at the back; my buddy fitted the switch there for the aftermarket rear locker he installed. The bulky switch that came with the ARB locker kit wouldn't clear it at the back, so he went to an electronics parts store and grabbed 5 or 6 rated switches of different designs; he then took them all to the Jeep sitting outside in the parking lot and played around with them until he got a low-profile one to fit, then returned the others.

Thats what I thought. I wanted to put my swich for lights there, but I saw all the buttons were in a single piece so I assumed there was a circut board. Good to know it is possible to put a swich there.

Those switches on my 09 X aren't blank. Maybe the 12's didn't get all the options that I got.

I'd love to see that. The switch that came with my ARB on board air is a big rocker switch that would never fit in such a small space.

well, i had my 2012 apart for CB installation, that set of switches is actually a module data bused into the electrical system. no way to add anything to the "blank spots"

I've taken it apart to put switched in there and No way I was messing with that circuit board.

I wonder if it is blank for an "Export" market switch.

Passenger eject button. Make sure freedom panel or top is removed before engaging said button.

Actually it is blank on export models too.
