I thought the blank spot was for the headlight height adjustment for the european markets with that feature enabled.

Not sure if this answer the question, but in the UK the new JK has "stop/start" to help with the CO2 rating.

The blank switch turns the "stop/start" function on or off.

I also have the Loaded Rubi.. and I agree with everyone else.. its just a blank spot for additional stuff.. like the ambient light kit from jeep..

on the 2012, it is a 1 piece deal, all the switches are in a box with 1 connector and only a few wires (data bus) wonder if you could get that euro switch assembly.. hmmm
