Default Temp Guage running at 3/4????????

The temp. guage on my JK is running at about 3/4. It normally runs dead center but has moved up another 1/4. It is not fluctuating it just holds steady at 3/4. The fan seems to be running fine and usually when I have had a thermostat go it fluctuates and will go back down when I cut the heater on. This is not doing that. Any suggestions??

Been in the mud? Radiator fins may be clogged, even if you have tried to clean them

The temp sensors have been known to go bad. So....

The first thing I would do is verify the engine temp with an infrared temp gun. Point it at the base of the thermostat housing. It shoud read between 190°F and 220°F, with a vertical needle on the temp gauge.
