I'll stick with the aries, along with all the other guys in my group who've seen them side by side.
Anything like this is just meant to keep the honest people honest. If someone wants in bad enough neither will stop them.

Default How much (if any) Room is between the TSD and the FRONT seats when installed?

We have a 2/2oor without a back seat. We need SECURE storage, and are considering the Tuffy Security Deck. However I do have some questions, regarding how much room it takes up. Can somebody, POSSIBLY post some pictures of what this storage system looks like, from the front panel of the deck, showing any clearance or room from that panel, to the back of the front seats. I had a Flex-A-Trunk installed on my '07, but it will not fit into the '13. What was nice about that was that, it left enough room for my Sheltie, to get in that back section, and still be able to stand on a board that I made, to cover the footwell in the rear. This was a life save because he was now able to, either, stand up with paws on the Front console, or lay down sideways if needed. Before I possibly throw down that much for storage, I really wanted to see some pictures of what it looks like in these areas. ( Pictures are needed of: installed Tuffy Sec. Deck, a showing how much room that is, or may be, between the enclosure front panel, and the front seats). If somebody could also do a measurement of this space/area,,,,well THAT would be a HUGE help for me as well!

Both my Dog Dexter and myself, Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!!

could you expand on what you don't like ab out the aries and what you do like?

My main super big full stop go no further question. Is it waterproof? I go all summer without a top and don't want my stuff getting soaked like they do with the tuiffy.

Heres a different option. I bought a truck tool box for the rear. Still haven't secured it down but its on my list of things to do. Keeps my gear for wheeling locked away and still have room in front of it.

Default Bit the bullet and got the Tuffy

Just finished installing it. Directions, could be a tiny bit more user friendly, but, I survived on my own. As far as the enclosure itself, wow, I wish that I had taken this plunge for my '07! I had a Flex-A-Trunk, and the difference is night and day. Knowing that I dont need to put my Bestop Storage Rack in over the top of this is awesome. If I had ONE complaint or dis satisfaction, it would be that the hardware is exposed a bit too much for my liking, I took a sharpie to the bolts to help it blend in a bit more. That being said, I REALLY love that the top can open up as needed. No holes in the Jeep is a big PLUS, and being able to have it taken out, is a huge plus as well. I put my "Doggie Board" back in to cover up the rear foot well, and there is PLENTY of room for the Dog to lay down and look around. He's gonna be mad that his wheel wells have been taken away from sightseeing repertoire, but as long as he can still put his paws on the center arm rest, he'll be fine.

If you are on the cusp, and you have a soft top, DO IT! If you run without the top and are worried about your things,,,DO IT! I really is a nice set up. I honestly have no regrets. I cut a piece of Black & Grey berber carpet, that we had laying around, to fit, and now it really looks finished. I gotta say this as well, if ANY of you life in a state with very restrictive firearms laws, (some states ask/require you to have your guns locked in the trunk if at all possible - when going to and from the Range,,,,SUV's can put this "rule" in question, since there is no "trunk"), with this enclosure, I at least know that I will have some peace of mind when travelling with any firearms, or anything else of value for that matter.

Best Decision by far for the new baby!

Glad you're happy with it, post pics if you've got them. As I mentioned earlier in the thread I installed hooks on mine to attach bungees/ratchet straps to and it works great for keeping things in place on the lid when running topless.

This will be probably be my next mod after I swap my rear bench for 2 bucket seats this weekend. The enclosure has a solid "back" right? With my rear bucket seats you still can't access the storage area?

It is very expensive, but I like it well enough.

You do lose some depth, and it is DARK under there at night (I added a cheap LED light with doubled sided tape).

Biggest drawback for the 4 door is that you lose about 3 inches of depth....but that 3 inches becomes critical when you remove the freedom panels and try to put them the back. You can get them back there, but you will probably rub the paint off the tops because they are being squeezed.
