Exclamation threaded shift knob

I want to buy a custom shift knob (www.wiseguycustoms.com) but the JK isnt threaded, if I wanted to tap and dye it so it IS threaded, what would be the closest thread size? 10mmx1.5?

To remove the shifter, you pry on the part of the boot that is farthest from the dash, there is 2 clips, then tilt it ahead and the first part will lift off.
Then there is another insulator under that, it's a little harder to do but you have to unclip it the same way as the first one.
Once that is lifted up, it's either a T-40 or T-45 bolt on the shifter.
Then just pull up and the shifter will lift off the transmission with the 2 boots still attached.
