Default Ticking from shift boot area

Hey fellas, Ive slowly developed this 'ticking' sound coming from by shift boot area. Ive already adjusted the cap (123456R) ive glued that down but i didnt help this sound. It happens only when accelerating tick tick tick and as the rpms go up, they go faster. I know its coming from there. What do to?????anyone?

I just had the clutch TSB done and now I have the ticking as well. Oh did I mention the bent heat shield, scratches on my console, and the grease on my seat. Damn dealers...this is why I don't like them touching my vehicle.

Haven't had a problem, but mine is fairly new. Will update if it happens.

Default I here ya sly.dealers havent done to good with my rubi

my last of 3 trans r+i for clutch issues resulted in aired up clutch(thing launched with pedal less than 1" from floor when tried to pick up(saturday last day open before christmas)kid tried to tell me thats normal sir.had to bleed clutch myself in parking lot, shifter was left loose and leaking(tried to bill me for the rework later)exhaust was left loose+leaking,i didn't notice till it started rattling and wearing into my skidrow eng skid plate.now release bearing noisy+chirp is back. The hell with it centerforce has JK clutch out soon, the next mechanic to touch my trans is gonna be me.been listening to all kinds of noises from clutch for 13 months,47,000km now few more months won't hurt(still love this thing even with the"issues")

Default I've located the breach..

I've had my JK in the shop a couple times now and the last time it was in the Clutch had to be replaced. While it was in the shop some moron broke a key off in my inginition which cuased the dealership to replace the entire steering column. After a week of waiting for this to be fixed, they called and said it was ready. Wehn I was driving home, less than 30 feet out of the parking lot the check engine light came on and there was now a terrible ticking noise. To make a long story short, I crawled under the vehicle and found two areas that the sound was might be coming into the cab from. One is where the shifter goes throught he floor into the trans (theres a form piece that was broken and had been tpaed with electrical tape by the dealerships trans guy. The other place is under the vehicle in the area of the pedals (there is a cable the enters the floor of the vehicle which has a rubber piece 'resembles the rubeer around the shifter' that was not inplace. As soon as I place this rubber piece in the appropriate location, the ticking is no longer heard from inside the vehicle. I'll try to take pictures of this area and post.
