Default TIP: Changing Transmission Fluid

I changed my tranny fluid this past weekend and found an easy way to fill the transmission. There i no room to get a bottle above to pour it in. You can use a plunger type of oil filler, however, if you are adding in a thicker fluid as in Lucas Transmission Fix to help with shifting on a manual trans, the plunger won't work -- the fluid is just too thick.

I figured out an easy way to get this done -- here's the tip.... I filled a nitrile glove with the fluid, cable tied the wrist part closed, cut a 1/4" off of the middle finger, stuck that finger fully into the trans filler hole and squeezed it in. This made the process painless. I used 4 gloves: 2 for the trans fix and 2 for the regular trans oil.

Interesting, thanks for the tip! I might have to try that, I've got a fluid change coming up soon.
