Thumbs up Tip of the day.....

Nobody likes dirty windows/windshield in their vehicles. Between the bugs and grime on the outside and the smoke and haze that sticks eternally to the inside of the windshield, not much is commercially available. Windex and it's ilk, still leave streaks, and it's even worse in the sunny, hot weather.

But here's the fix.

Mix one part water, and one part isopropyl alcohol, and one part white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray a paper towel with the mix to get it damp, and then spray the windshield and wipe. Dry off with a clean paper towel. It comes out nice and clean. IT'LL BE CLEAN WITH NO STREAKS OR SMUDGES. You may need a sponge or nylon scrubbie to get the bugs off the outside of the windshield, but it's not hard.

Better than the over the counter stuff on windows. Works great in the house too.

Try it.....you'll like it !!

Hmmm...I use water and vinegar but have never tried adding the alcohol. (Well at least not into the mixture.) Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try it.

heres a suggestion for bug removal - DRYER SHEETS (used ones work just as well as new).
It's an old RV'ers trick - when you wash the <insert vehicle type> grab an old dryer sheet & dip it in the soapy water bucket....use it to gently scrub / pull the bugs off the paint & windshield.

the dryer sheets will NOT scratch the paint.

Don't do it in a matte or flat paint job.
