Which tire????? Buyin one of 2 tires need help!!!
I have decided to go with Toyo AT2 285/70R17 tires on my Jeep JK. I have a dilemma though. Just as many JK owners say go with "P" rated tires as say get the deeper treaded "E" rated tires that the ride difference or wear is negligible.
I would like to go with the LT tires and take advantage of the deeper tread but I have also heard that the LT tires don't ride as well on the highway or wear as well as the "P" rated tires so deeper tread would be a mute point if they wear out quicker.
That's not all of the points of the debate but the ones that have me wondering.
My choice of tire either in the "P" rated tire or the "E" rated tire is the TOYO AT2's and need any and all advice which I should go with the "E" rated or the "P" rated tire.
Please ad your two cents.
All opinions welcome!

The LT tires "typically" have a stiffer sidewall when compared to the P-metric tires. However you mentioned "E" rated which is going to also have a stiff sidewall.
It is going to be a trade off....if the Jeep is going to see a lot of off road time then I would want a stiffer, more durable sidewall. If the Jeep will mainly be use on road then I would look at a P-metric tire with a C rating....this would give you a much better ride on road.
Decisions...decisions....in my opinion tires are one of the hardest decisions to make. It is a very personal (and expensive) choice to make.
Good luck and I am sure there will be others to chime in here to give you some good options and advice.

I have the LT version of that tire. I had the stock Rubi BFG mud terrains on before so no matter what AT tire I put on the ride was bound to improve. I find the ride to be nice. Do a chaulk test and lower the air pressure. I should note that I have a JKUR. Ride would probably be stiffer on a 2 door.

I have run 3 sets of Toyo AT2's in E load and my 4th set will be the same. Tough great all around tire and off road you can air down to 10 psi with no issues. People who think who think they are rough riding probably run to much psi on road. 28psi is about what you want for a smooth ride. Currently running 285/75-17's and at 12000 miles look new still. I had 285/75-16's on my last jeep and on my new one I originally put 285/70-17 right from the dealer but after 2000 miles traded for the 285/75-17 as the 70's are just too small.
I am running the toyo AT2 extreme now 285/75/17 great tire. Did the Rubicon with them stuck like glue on the rocks only thing now is I'm thinking about going 35 same tire.
