Tire or driveshaft vibration?
jack up the jeep and shake the tire up and down. could be ball joints or wheel bearings.. if you shake it side to side check your tie rod ends.. if its got play and your ball joints and tie rods look good then id say wheel bearings..
Thanks guys
The front end and steering components are all nice and tight.. The stock ball joints are amazingly still ok at this age and mileage.
I got a 'pop' 'pop' when pulling into my driveway last night. Still can't put a finger on where it's coming from.
I was dorking around with things afterwards, and I'm noticing a light 'click' out of the rear driveshaft when I jack the rear of the Jeep up and spin a wheel. Didn't notice that before.
I dont want to drag this thread out for everyone, so unless there are other thoughts and comments I'll probably just follow up when whatever part is failing finally gives up.
