Default Tire jack

This morning on my way to work , while driving on a 6 line highway over a bridge , a work truck dropped a piece of metal. With no where to quickly change lanes , it shredded my drivers side rear tire, omg. Thankful to have made it off the bridge and safely to the side of the road , thankful the rim was not damaged.
As I got out of my new jeep and opened the back , got the jack out and bar, removed the spare off the back , loosened the nuts, all in my work clothes. I did manage to change the tire but not without bitching the whole time to myself about the jack. Why would anyone want to use the jack provided by jeep. Feeling annoyed. I have a big tire a big jeep . Why is there a small jack . I need to replace this with a larger one that is easy to work . Any suggestions ?

And by the way I was disappointed not one person even stopped, NOT even the dozen other jeeps that passed me....where the love people
Oh and had to buy a new tire today with tire sensor for 250.00

A little 4x4" post sits nicely under the jack and will assist you. Think though, they only intend to get the axle just off the ground, not lift it too overly high.

Short of running a mini floor jack I don't know that you'll find something easier to use.

The s hook that fits into the jack to turn piece that makes the jack go up and down . Bent also while changing the tire .

Well atleast you have a jack, I bought my jeep used from a dealer, no jack, spare is locked on with a lug lock which I am still trying to figure out how to remove it.

Sorry to hear no one would help the world we live in I guess, I am looking at a hi lift jack for the same issue you mention. I am not getting a 60incher as I want to keep it inside the jeep to prevent theft and rust!

That reminds me......I replaced that stuff with a screwdriver. I mangled mine up when I was changing a tire after 4wheeling.

I'm looking online at jacks , need to replace this one . I saw one at auto zone 40.00 , that might do the trick . I have roadside asst. but didn't want to wait , I didn't want to by late for work .
I hope you called the dealership back and let them know. They can unlock lug locks or cut them off and get new ones.

The AEV jack base works pretty good with the factory jack & it fits in the rear compartment.

That is a plain old bottle jack sitting on a base. Should be able to find that jack in just about any auto parts or tools store. I don't believe they do well laying on their side during storage, so might not replace stock jack location.
