Tire Question
I know this has probably been answered, but I don't know enough about tire sizes to know this...
When you see a code like "32X11.50R15". What exactly does that mean?
And what tire size is the largest that can be placed on a Stock 2008 Wrangler X?

32 inches high, by 11.5 inches wide, on a 15inch wheel (rim). You can 33's without any modifications to a stock x Jeep. Also can fit 35's but require trimming of fenders, pinch seam, and some other mods.
incase you run into metric sizes such as 285/75R16 use this formula to find the size:
width = 285 * .03937
Height = (width * .75 * 2) + (rim height)
The first part of the formula for the height is the height of the side wall, there fore you have to multiply it by 2 then add the rim height.
This comes out to be 32.8"H x 11.2"W x 16" Rim
