Default Tire rotation/bal ?

Hey all, Im new to this sight and had a question.

This past saturday I had a run in with a deep water/mud hole in south alabama, since then i noticed a shudder between 25-35 mph, at first i thought it was just mud and didnt sweat it but after cleaning and pressure washing the mud off its still there. any ideas??

Also i took it in for an oil change and rotate and balance. it seems it shakes (diff shake than the above problem) now and didnt before, you think they need to re balanced or are the tires "getting use to their new location" on the rig?

thanks for any help!!

Some times dried up mud can be found on the inside of your wheels which can cause them to be out of balance. Another place to look is on the fan blades / radiator area.

Probably not your wheels. I'm sure you would have seen it while rotating them.

Unless you lost a wheel weight there is probably some mud hiding inside/behind a wheel.

Just switched back to winter (stock) tires on my Rubicon. I noticed a vibration and a bit of shimmy to the steering wheel. Seems they were a bit knobby when removed and they are wearing in to the new location. It has been a few weeks and they are better now. Difference in tread from Summer FC's.

When I rotate my summer tires front to back, 2 tires are a bit more out of balance then the others. When run in back they are fine, when rolled up front, they tend to give me some wobble in the 50mph range. Only about a 5 - 10 mph range and by 55 they are settled out.
I have had them balanced a couple times and find this is the best they get.

If you have the stick on weights, check them as I lose a few every season.

Hope this helps.

If it isn't from dried mud, you probably lost a wheel weight. It should be fine after you get them re-balanced
