Tire Rotation Question
Good information on here. Makes me question what I have always used: the Rears straight to Front and Front crossed over to the rear. My spare I bought used for that reason, to be a spare in case of emergency, so it's already used up pretty good. Good to hear other's opinions though...

Stop using logic, you're going to hurt the dealer's feelings. Everyone knows that they live in bizarro world were logic need not apply.

On a more serious note, its ironic that the dealer actually gave you the reason why you should rotate in your spare. It would seem to me, at least, that if your tires were near the end of their life and you needed your spare up front, that the tread difference between a new tire and a nearly completely used tire would create a noticeable amount of pull.
Also, as stated above, rotating them in will significantly lengthen the life of all your tires.
Today, I have 13,900 mi on my JK and the spare has never been rotated in. Is it too late? The only reason I ever bother with the Dealer is because I live on the road and lack the tools and or garage.
I hope to have 33" tires by next summer anyhow. Doesn't Discount Tire offer free rotations when you buy from them?

Those two things make me think that 13,900 miles shouldn't be too bad to rotate in your spare now.
I try to rotate mine every 3,000 miles.
Rotating in the spare does make it nice because I only have to have one corner jacked up at a time.
