Default Tires

I need new tires and am looking to get a tire that is more aggressive looking, beefier than the stock tires. I have 17" rims and have been doing some research but don't think I need a MT. The JK is my daily driver but I do go to the beach and ride on it. I need some opinions on good tires. I do want a bigger tire, so any opinions on brands and sizes I will greatly appreciate!

Hard to go wrong with Goodyear Duratracs size either 265/70R17 or 285/70R17 with spacers.

I've seen some really agressive Hercules tires. Not so popular but made by Cooper...I think.

I was at a Cooper tire shop today and they just came out with a new A/T tire. It's called the Discoverer s/t Maxx. It's a pretty aggressive looking tire, but still tame enough for a DD.

I went with 33" Mickey Thompson ATZ's ... What a difference in looks it made to the jeep. Beefier yet nice on the road still..,, then I went and got lifted...., 3" soooo 35" are going on next Wed March 30th... For summer I'm going to the MTZ's 35" ..... The ATZ's are only 8mo 's old I may sell them to someone local i'm in Ontario Canada or keep them for winter.... They drove nice all winter for me.... undecided.

Also look at the Nitto Trail Grapplers M/T .... Good tires too I hear. I would have went with them in 35's but more expensive here in Canada.... Plus I had good luck with the MT ATZ's 33" sooooo I stayed with them just went 35" and MTZ and I like the looks too.

I've narrowed it down to these in 265/70/17 size:

Duratrac
Falken Rocky Mountain
BFG AT KO
Cooper STT
Nitto Terra Grappler

With those being the choices and knowing that I'm not going to be in the mud (beach a few times during the summer) which tire will get me the best mileage (distance 50k, 60k, etc) and overall better ride.

Any others I have missed are appreciated also.
