Why so small? Try going tp 295-75-17 or 295-70. Nitto's are great tires

I'm not doing any kind of lift or anything right now. I would love to, but $ just isn't right. I'm fine going a little bigger than the 265, but don't want to scrub when I'm riding on the beach.

Check out Mastercraft Courser C/T or Cooper Discoverer S/T in size 275-70-17. Perfect size for stock and nice aggressive tread. I will be putting on the Mastercraft in a few weeks. Will try to post pics then

BFG AT's last for years...
i ran them on my pickups before i got my JK...
last set were still good after 4 years...70k miles... !!!

tread pattern is agressive but still giving good grip on roads...
i prefer AT's rather than mudz...OK so the mudz look better...
but if you're driving after a light rain...and the roads are greasy...
the AT will give you a much better footprint...
and my save you in a situation where a MT would slide...

all the best...

I have Duratracs and love them. Quiet on the road and plenty of aggressive looks. Someone on this forum mentioned Fierce tires. Apparently they are a subsidiary of Goodyear and their MT tire is actually a cosmetically modified Duratrac. They're supposed to be cheaper. Might be worth a look.

So what is the biggest tire I can put on without worrying about any scrubbing when riding on the beach without putting a lift or spacers?

I have 285/70/17 Falken Wild Peaks and have no problems rubbing at all with no lift just yet. They measure out to about 32 1/2". They are extremely quiet on the road. I have not had this set offroad yet, but I just traded a 2006 TJ in on my '11 JKU and I also had Wild Peaks on it and they did great in the sand on the beach here in FL.

I have The General Grabber AT2 on my wife's Liberty and I have the Duratracs on my JKU. Both great all terrain tires. Grabbers are lasting forever!
