Okay, so I have a person who is willing to sell me his 285/70R17 BFG A/T for a very good price. Thing is, he only has 4 of them. I have another friend who has just one 305/65R17 BFG A/T and once again, the price is amazingly cheap. So I plan on jumping the gun on them to save as much money as possible.

Question is: Is it okay to get 4 285/70R17 tires and 1 305/65R17 tire? They are the same BFG A/T and pretty much the same size. I'm thinking that there would be no problem as long as I get 5 17" wheels. I just want to make sure before I buy 'em. Thanks

 

As long as you keep the 305 for your spare and don't plan on using it except for emergencies only. They are not the same size so I would not suggest you do it unless you are planning on using the larger for spare only.
