Tires Load Range C or E?
I have a choice of 2 load ranges C (6 ply) or E (10 ply) on a set of 265-75-16 tires. These are both the same model and manufacturer.
The total cost difference between the two sets is $68.00. Which by coincendense is the shipping charge.
Am I OK with the C range or should I spring for the E range.
I don't do any rock crawling or anything extreme just mostly NJ Pine Barrens mud and sand. But are there are greater durability advantages with the E range that make the extral cost worthwile?
Opinions?

Go with the C range. The main difference (and hence the reason for the increase in plys) is the weight rating. Unless you plan on towing and treating your Jk like a 3/4 ton rig, the C range will be fine for you. Just take it easy on your sidewalls if you do hit the rocks.
C range is what the stock tires are, even the BFGs on the Rubicon. D are very common when upgrading, and E are run by some, but are a bit overkill and have pretty stiff riding sidwalls (I also wonder about flex when aired down as well). I would also choose C over E, but wouldn't have a problem with D if it were an option.
