Default Tools to remove hard top?

Hello all,

My Jeep is currently somewhere in the Pacific, enroute to South Korea.

We have VERY limited tools available to purchase at the Military Exchange, and I personnally do not own a single Torx bit.

What sizes will I need to remove: 1. doors 2. Hard top 3. Soft top

From what I can tell picking through various posts, I will need a T50 for the doors and a T30 for the soft top bows.

Will that do me? I did an internet search and don't think I need to blow cash on a full torx bit set... some seemed very expensive for what you get. Also the only cheap ones I found didn't include the T50.

Oh, it has been 6 months since I ordered and with the jeep so close I am having odd nightmares about it.

Last night I dreamed I took delivery and my jeep was missing all the interior carpet and the door pockets were missing. I was very panicked and upset. WTF?? The anticipation is killing me... it needs to get here.

T40 for the hard top. Just buy the cheap set of tips only($6 over here) and find a single T50 socket.

eodguy...
I dont recall the size for the torx bits. I would think that Aafes has them.. but... Wen I was in Korea, all you could get was Levis, Jack Daniels, Huffy and Kenwood.

If you want, I can get you the price for the simple 3/8" drive torx bit set at AutoZone... if you have Paypal you can send it, and I'll ship it to your APO address.

I got a folding torx set(allen wrench style)
at autozone for about $7-8.
That will cover the top and more.

I ended up getting the same thing at Sears. It was a few bucks more for Craftsman brand, but has just about everything needed. It fits in the "trunk" easily so I have them with me at all times, and they don't rattle around like a bunch of screwdrivers and/or bits would
