You will have to get the Jeep in the air a bit or on a hoist. Hoist is best then you can use a tranny jack and take both the TCase and tranny out as a unit. You will have to undo the TC bolts to the flex plate as well. And check that flex plate for cracks or warping. I change those each time just to be sure as they are stressed over time.
Removing the transmission and case is the best route to go IMO.
