Default Torquing suspension components..

When you guys torque suspension components do you always have someone to help you. Doing it alone I can't figure out how to torque some components where you need to hold a wrench on the other side. Is there any other way short of a helper?

I just ussually let the end wrench hit against something metal, then knock it off with a hammer, scoot back if you do this though.

I can find places the wedge a wrench against the axle or trackbar brackets but what do you do for the control arms? Also I can't get a torque wrench up on top of the drag link where it meets the pitman arm..

Oh and on the rear trackbar do you take the wheels off to do it?

No on the rear trackbar. And for others I use a cheater pipe on the end of the wrench to but against something. Drag link/ Pitman? Can't imagine it would be anymore than 60-75ft lbs. Stuff like that I just get as tight as I can with a reg wrench without getting crazy on it.That's just the way I do it though. Maybe some pro's on here can give you better info.

x2 I have a fairly long wrench to do this, but a pipe over the end helps too.

I use a fairly long wrench along with my torque wrench. It also helps to have good forearm strength, so I try to work mine out a few nights a week!!

But wouldn't the vice grips just spin with that nut?
