Torx Bits for Christmas
I noticed when I purchased my 2011 JK that Chrysler used a lot of Torx fasteners. Since I will eventually be wrenching on these, and with Christmas approaching, I decided to put Torx bits on my wish list to suppliment my toolbox. I already have screwdriver type Torx tips from T-5 to T-30. The fasteners on the JK look a tad larger. What are the most common sizes needed above the T-30, say in a 3/8 drive socket?
I bought the Stanley torx set from Wal-Mart, it was about $23 and they have a lifetime warranty, i broke 1 and called the 800 number on the back, they sent me a new one. Great customer service.
I have that set too and have used them a bunch. They are good quality and a good price.
you'll use the t-50 A LOT I know that's the one I reach for it's the size of all the common bolts on the exterior. The rest are really handy to have I have a decent set in the tool box, but in the rig I keep a craftsman set that has a variety up to size 80 I believe.
