I cannot imagine that any of the materials associated with the tow hooks or their mounting could possibly deform (lean, tilt, whatever), then return to their original shape without permanent distortion/damage. Something's amiss.

After reading all of these post, I took that plastic shell of a bumper off and checked everything. Everything was fine..looked new. I also checked the nuts and could not tightening them anymore. Scared I was gonna break the tools. I then hooked up a line to a few things and put some tension on the hooks. I hooked up to a light pole, garbage dumpster (one of those long ones), and to a F250 (like a Tug-a-War). I saw no flexing what so ever. So, the only conclusion that I can come up with is that my cousin had too much alcohol on board....or not enough..depends on how you look at it.

Sounds like your cousin was busting your hump for questioning his knot tying ability.
