Default tow hooks - nut size

I'm putting tow hooks onto my front bumper but they didn't come the nuts. I went to Home Depot/Lowes with the hook but couldn't find one that went on nicely. They'd go on like halfway and then stop.

Anyone know the size of the nut they had to get?

the hooks are coming off of someone else's stock bumper but the nuts didn't come with it.

I belive they use the same nuts that secure your inner metal bumper, so you dont need another set, unless your front bumper is glued on now lol

I just added tow hooks and they came with new nuts. don't see any reason not to reuse the existing bumper nuts, just add a dab of lock tite so they wont back off. Just a note for you, soak the nuts that hold the plastic cover on for a few days before removing, the insert stripped out of my bumper, had to use a blow torch to melt the plastic to get get the insert to stay in securly.
