I got the wiring kit from Quadratec for $16.99 M#92015-17.
And yes it just plugs right in behind the left taillight.
The only real thing you need to think about is where
you will connect the ground wire. I put mine under the
mounting screw of the taillight, it worked.
The MOPAR harness is more expensive (around $40), but doesn't have a ground wire. Just the taillight plug. It also has christmas tree fastener things in spots along the wire loom that are in just the right spot to line up with holes in the frame.

My 09 X unlimted has tow package 3:73 trac loc

I'm not sure I'm crazy about the 3:73's

Most guys around here, that do alot of wheel'in want lower gears but since I mostly drive mine on the street, I wonder if I'd be more pleased with 3:21's getting better gas milage keeping the revs down.

I also think about less shifting if I had 3:21's.
1st gear is so short. with my 3:73.
I skip gears all the time to make it to 6th going down the road .
I'm doing 45mph in 6th gear driving local or doing 80 on the freeway 6th.

People say it tow better with the gears or better power if you add bigger tires wit 3:73 but I think I'd just downshift if I needed to and again feel like I should have got 3:21's

Where is the connector? My wire is shaped like a "T" and the only "end" I see is the connector for the panel with the flip cover. Where do the wires originally go? If I can find this, I can take it and thread it through my frame.

Not 100% on the wire you have, but I think the "T" part are the connectors that get hooked up behind the left tail light. The left tail light must be removed. Behind it you will find a large plug that needs to be unpluged. Your "T" end of the wire goes here, to complete the wiring back to the tail light. Then you drop the wiring through a hole in the bottom of that same area you are working. Then you can reinstall the tail light. Note: some wiring kits have a black ground wire you must connect to the body somewhere before closing up the tail.

On the threading through the frame part. I only did mine part way through the frame because of the "flat four wire" plug mine has. If you want to thread it the full length of the frame in the center. You might have to cut the wiring to fit through some of the smaller holes. And resplice them back after pulling it through. Good luck.

On my 10, they had to order the tow package separate due to it not being ordered. I was told that it consitted of the hitch, wiring harness and a sway bar repacement for the rear.

I went with the Mopar harness and indeed the install was a snap and the "christmas tree" snaps (for lack of a better word) made the install a snap and as clean as could be since the snaps line up perfectly with the frame and made for an idiot proof clean install.

Anyone persuaded their dealership to flash the Trailer Sway Damping (aka Trailer Sway Control) program to their ECU?
