I have a 2012 and I tow this 3000lb loaded travel trailer all around without electric brakes or a weight distribution hitch and it is fine.

I finally got to tow with my 2 door JK the other day. I was impressed. I was pulling my RZR on a 10' trailer, and it did good. Just watch your tongue weight and make sure it is correct and you shouldn't have any problems. It is it to light, you could have some problems with the trailer wobbling back and forth. If it is to heavy, you won't have good steering control on the Jeep.

2012 JKU sahara stock automatic with 321 gears,Towed v nose box trailer 1700 lbs. plus Harley and gear 900 lbs. single axle w/brakes to Daytona beach FL.

No problems at all. Execept it would shift down into 4th gear at the slightest bit of resistance. took it up about 800 rpm's. This was on cruse at 72 MPH.
Computer showed 11.8 MPG. In 5th gear it showed 13.2 MPG. But it towed just fine.

This was the specs on my 2011. Not a miss print. I'm sure you won't have an issue but just so you know.
