Towing 09 Sahara Automatic 4wd
If I read the manual correctly, I should leave the key in the accessory position. However, I have talked with others who say they tow without key in ignition. My ignition column is not locked with the key out. Anyone have any further info on towing?

Mine locks at about half a turn. Check yours with at least a full turn. Some of that vintage lock, and some don't.
