Default TPMS Question

Are the TPMS from different years compatible? I saw some 2012 Jeep wheels for sale locally but I have a 2011 and just want to make sure they will work with my computer. Thanks inadvance.

11/12/13 are the same. 2010 are stand alone...07/09 same. The difference is frequency at which the transmit

13s are different. They are multichannel.

The grey stems indicate the older sensors ('07-'10) with 433 mhz.

The black stemmed sensors are 315mhz (for '10-'12).

Which would explain why the sensors out of my 12 wheels will not work on my 13. Not that it matters since I killed the system with the Procal but I do apreciate the info!

Meaning you essentially switched from the gray-stemmed sensors to the black ones? Did you just swap of the wheels and drive?
Or did you have to have the receiver "flashed" to accept the newer frequency?

As I understand it you can change from the older to the newer frequency (but I thought it required flashing the receiver).

Now the compatibility is gone starting with the '13s that have an entirely new multi-channel system that can measure each individual wheel.

Thanks for all of the input. That information is always good to know. I figured there were changes. I got a hold of the guy and he had taken them out anyway. So if I get them I'd have to use the ones I have anyway.

I figured they changed some time since my wife's 2013 can measure each wheel separate and mine just says "Hey one is low you check them out." LOL!!

I sold my 2013 Rubi wheels and tires and had the guy take out my sensors and give them back, there are no valve stems just some black sensors with a screw in them.
Does anyone know if these will go in my new wheels? I don't see how they would connect to anything? I read somewhere above that they screw into the valve stem but don't see how that is possible.
Has anybody here installed factory 2013 TPMS in aftermarket wheels?

Do they look something like this.... You'll just need to pick up some new valve stems. Dealer, amazon, local tire shop.

Yup, exactly like that but without the valve stems.
Thanks!
