Default traction control warning light on acceleration

I know a number of you have had the ESP/BAS light come on with the traction ocntrol warning light and it goes away again after a while. But has anyone had the traction control light(light with car and squiggly lines as tire tracks) come on and then the Jeep refuse to accelerate? I was driving in dry pavement and the Jeep suddenly decided to flash that stupid light every time I hit the accelerator. What is worse is it the jeep would not respond to the accelerator, it would just drift or slow down. It was not a stall, no loss of electricity or engine, just no drive. I finally put it in park, turned off the Jeep and restarted it, and it went away. But, it's kind of scary. This was on a 35 mile a hour road, but I drive a high speed death trap of a road to work and I am concerned this will happen again.

Yeah, that's what I figured and I called the dealer immediately, but they can't see it until tomroow at 8am, to play it safe, I did not go into work today so as to avoid the death trap road. ButI am trying to find out if anyone else had this issue as I fear the delaer will tell me they cannot find anything. It is not all the time nor can I duplicate it, but I have had my ESP/BAS lights go on and then off again a while later and the dealer cannot find any issue with it. this dealer has in the past been pretty good, but, if they have never seen it before, I worry.

any modifications?, i had a wheel sensor that got damaged when i went offroading, caused the same problems, first time it happened it was raining, so dismissed because of slick roads, then it did it on dry road, that when i started looking around, and found it.

If you don't have a lift or anything I would think there is a bad sensor.

Bloomin' sensor..go figure. It's amazing just how fast you can ruin a vehicle with just the right amount of computerized gadgetry.....I figure by 2010, we'll be feeding these things some frozen veggie based biofuel and that combined with all of the computerize dtechnologies added to these things will not only just crap out due to some stupid switch going bad but you will here genuine laughter in the background coming from somewhere behind the passengers dash within seconds of you coming to a dead stop in the middle of the highway...
