Default Transfer case question

Ihave an 07 Sahara with a manual tranny.
My friend has a 2010 rubicon with an auto.
He recently put a new Atlas t/c in his Rubi so will the stock 4:1 transfer case from the RUBI swap out easily with the stock t/c in my Sahara

Yes they will swap out easy, they are basically the same just different on the inside only.

not necessarily, i think the difference is how they mate to the back of the transmission. don't quote me on it but im fairly certain that's why you cant swap one from a manual to an auto or vice versa.

do a search im sure its been mentioned on here before

It will swap completely. The difference as stated above is in the internals. All mounting points are the same, as well as hoses and routing.

I thought there was a difference in the seal to the transmission I'm pretty sure I've seen Teraflex selling a seal for the automatic swap

I want to do the same thing when a "cheap" Rubi transfer case comes my way

Let us know how it goes
