transfer case spline count ?

Default transfer case spline count ?

does a auto and manual use the same transfer case ? is the spline count the same... i am looking for a trans case just wondering if i could use one that come out of a manual in a auto ? thanks

I just completed the swap and was informed that you need the Xfer case from the same trans because the spline count is different.

thanks.. Ive heard some people say it doesn't matter and some say it does ? did you sell your case you took out ? are the part #s different for auto and manual trans case ?

I heard conflicting info as well and the part #s are different. So, I found a junkyard that had both a 6 speed and an auto Rubi T Case and asked the guy to count the splines for me. I don't remember what the counts where, but just that they were different. I guess he could have counted wrong, but no matter since he had both for the same price...I got the one that matched my tranny. My old T case is still for sale and can be found here...I donated it to my buddy for fundage:
