Default Troubleshooting my 6 speed manual

Hello. Yesterday, while on trail, I started having major transmission issues. Basically, I was coming down a hill in 4 low and 1st gear. When I got to the bottom, I was having trouble shifting into any gear at all. In order to get it on a trailer, I had to start the jeep while already in first gear and drive it up the ramp. When I got home, it would no longer drive at all when I started it in gear. It actually let me drive down the ramp in reverse but shortly after, nothing at all. I know the clutch is going to have to be replaced but does anyone think this also sounds like a problem with the transmission? Shouldn't I still be able to float the gears and drive it? I have an '08 JKU Rubicon with 97k miles on it. Never replaced the clutch on it.

In my experiences, at least, it's pretty hard to float the gears in these trannys. I've went through quite a few clutches and each time I've drove home floating gears, it's pretty tricky. Should just need a clutch kit (clutch pressure plate throw out bearing and pilot bearing) also make sure to get your flywheel reaurfaced. I'll admit I've never done it and I've put 4 clutches in my jeep, 99% sure because I've never messed with the flywheel.
