Default Turn off lights

S there a way in the 2008 rubicon to turn the headlights off when you unlock/lock the doors?

There are two ways -
  1. If the Jeep has U-connect, which includes the EVIC system, it can be done from the steering wheel buttons and the dashboard menu. An EVIC equipped model has 4 buttons on the left side of the steering wheel.
  2. Without EVIC it must be done by the dealer.
Either way you want the headlight delay-off to be set at zero.

That's "turn off flash when lock". That procedure works. Mine no longer flashes.

I think the OP wants it so the headlights don't come on for a long period when he unlocks the doors.

OP,

If you just want to turn off the lights once they come on, turn the switch to on, then off. The lights will go out.

If you want to turn off the feature, I think you are out of luck. I tried to get the dealer to do it, even gave them the steps, including setting the time to zero. They could not get it done.

If your headlights are on when you lock the doors, it may be because they were turned on when your Jeep was turned off. Try turning off the headlights before turning the key off.

If I use the fob on mine to lock the doors, the lights come on. If I hit lock on the doors, they don't

i re-programmed mine last night so that the horn wont sound and that all locks unlock with one push on the fob. my lights come on when unlocked, and go out when locked...kinda the opposite of you at least the fob part is.
