Turn signal replacement
My right turn signal is burnt out after only eight months. Is that unusual? Can I replace it with an LED for greater longevity? Should this be fixed by the dealer under warranty?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Those flasher bulbs can last 10 minutes or 10 years; seems to be hit & miss with them; at least it's only a 50 cent part and simple to change out.
The problem with swapping out incandescant bulbs for LEDs on the JK is that the computer monitors and controls all the lighting circuts through CANBUS system and the reduced current draw from the LED lights can cause problems and throw codes (the reason why people swapping out their headlamps for the new HID LED units for example have to add resistors to fool the computer and avoid problems).
