Ugh P06DD error code!
So the engine light just popped on. Error code is P06DD. Checked my oil and I was three quarts low! Just changed the oil three weeks ago! Filled the oil, started it and it sounded fine. No knocking or weird noises. Backed up and went forward. Didn’t drive anywhere. It’s also 5 degrees so
that may have made the issue worse.
Should I drive it around the block k to see if the light goes off?? Looking for advice!

Giving the year would help, but I figured it out. P06DD is a code specific to the 3.6L Pentastar, so you have a 2012-2018. Then they changed the 3.6L from "classic" to "upgrade" in 2016 and there are some differences. So let us know what year JK you have.
According to Chiltons:
P06DD-ENGINE OIL PRESSURE CONTROL CIRCUIT STUCK OFFPossible Causes
LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL
INCORRECT ENGINE OIL FILTER
INSUFFICIENT OIL PRESSURE DUE TO A MECHANICAL FAILURE IN THE OILING SYSTEM
ENGINE MECHANICAL FAILURE
DUAL STAGE OIL PUMP SOLENOID STUCK ON
DUAL STAGE OIL PUMP SPOOL VALVE STUCK
So for sure you had the 1st possible cause - LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL. Is the Jeep kept outside? Any signs of leaking? 3 quarts low in just 3 weeks is not an oil burning issue - there should be a puddle somewhere. Either that or it wasn't filled to begin with.
Did you make sure the oil filter is the correct one? The 3.6L is very particular on the filters.
What I would try next is to start the JK and let it get to normal operating temperature. Listen for any unusual sounds like ticking and shut if down if you don't like what you hear. Watch the exhaust. If it's using that much oil the exhaust will have blueish/gray color. If you get to normal operating temps and everything is looking fine, give the engine a rev or two while looking for exhaust smoke. Then shut off the engine and 1) check oil level, and 2) check for leaks, puddles, spashes, etc.
If you have an OBD2 reader and app you can clear the DTCs. If not, I would disconnect the negative battery terminal wires, what a few seconds, then put the wires back on. That should reset the PCM. It still might take a ride or two for the code to go away.
If you still have the fault code, you are down into the mechanical failures part of the possible causes.
Good luck!

I'm having a chronic issue with my 2012 JKU Rubicon. It's a long story but as short as I can make it: Oil pump was replace with a new Mopar unit last April because of chronic P06DD codes and the issue seemed to be resolved. Fast forward to 12/21/24, Jeep stalls as I was pulling into a parking lot. Got it to restart but it was running really bad with a dead skip. 182k on the clock. Towed to the same shop that replaced the oil pump. Because of the holidays, it sat until after the new year. Eventually they said it broke a valve spring and a valve was stuck open. after pulling the head, damage seemed to be isolated to the head only so they suggested a remaned head. And while it was apart, replacing the oil cooler with a new Dorman Aluminum unit. When picking it up, noticed a new oil change sticker the said "SYN" and 187,000. Didn't think anything about it other than I never used Synthetic in it before. Made it 350-400 miles and it started throwing a P06DD code again. While driving it back to the shop, it stalled multiple times while driving at 45mph. It would crank but not restart for about 10 minutes. Get it back to them and next day they tell me it is really low on oil, not even reading on the dipstick. I didn't even think of checking the oil as it supposedly just had an oil change. Didn't make sense, it wasn't blowing blue smoke and there were no oil puddles under it. Gave me some story about a bad PCV, didn't make sense but I told them to ahead and change it. They said they could not reproduce the stalling issue. In hindsight, I think it was triggering the ASD becuse there was almost no oil in it. When I went back to pick it up,(they were closed for the day but left it out for me) before even starting it, pulled the dipstick and it was still dry. Also noted there was no evidence of any oil in the airbox (so bad PVC?) . So I go get oil with my wife's car and put 4+ quarts in it before leaving their shop. Drive home, and then half way to work the next day (about 40 miles total) and it throws the code again. Call them from work and let them know what happened. Very apologetic, said they will take care of it. Before I got it over there, they called me and said the oil pump was still under warranty and they are just going to replace it. Drop it off again and get it back the same day. Again, throws the code again on the way into work the next morning. Back to the shop, this time, they replace the oil pressure sensor and even the plug on the harness. Rinse and repeat, still threw the code in almost the same spot as last time, on my way into work. Any thought because I'm about to get a can of gas and a match.
