Default Ujoint help please!!

I just went to NAPA to get axle shaft ujoints and nothing was listed for a 09 Sahara. They gave me ones for a 07. Is it the same?? Don't want to start the project with the wrong ones. Thank you!!!

they are twinns ... replaced mine after the warranty ran out .. everyone should take their vehicle to dealer just prior to warranty expiry and complain that the ujoints are seized and see if they will change them .. at best you have a complaint registered and if they do go just there after you have a legit complaint ..And they will seize ....

The stock u-joints are a friggin PAIN to remove from the shafts.

Getting the axle shafts out wasnt very hard but those u-joint, oh man. Even with all 4 circlips out and soaked in PB Blaster they were frozen solid.

I eneded up taking my axle shafts to Pep Boyz to have them, pressed out. Only cost me $30 an axle.
Wish I would have started there before I spend 2 hours beating, pulling, prying and cursing at mine with a ball joint puller.

Same! Mine seemed to literally be bonded to the axle halves. I couldn't even get the c-clips out. There were basically unrecognizable and equally as bonded.

I slapped mine back together and brought it to a local shop to handle.

Precision are the best u-joints hands down. I used them in my old wrangler and they lasted for 7 years. Spicers lasted 3 months. The drive lines should be the same.

When changing ujoints be carful taking out the three hub assembly bolts I broke one. Because the end is exposed on the other side they rust and keeps you from backing out the bolt. Quadratec keeps the bolts in stock should be here in a couple of days then I can finish the project.
