Unlock all doors
Can someone please tell me how to properly do the procedure that will unlock all the doors when I open my door. I know there are other threads about this, and I've used the search, but keep comming up with nothing. I had this done already once, but since the dealer reflashed my Jeep with the esp TSB, the doors don't unlock anymore. I've tried turning the key on 4 times and 5 times and holding the unlock button, but obvioulsly I'm doing something wrong.
I had a similar problem after taking mine in for service. I turned the key back and forth 4 times per the manual and then hit the unlock and that did it. The manual has the procedure for turning the automatic lock and unlock on and off.
I did this last weekend and got it to work.
The trick for me was that I wasn't turning the key between the proper lock positions when I tried it the first time. The owner's manual (page 32) says to move the key between LOCK and ON. The manual shows a picture of these key positions on page 12.
After turning the key back and forth, I used the power lock switch on the door for the last step.
