Default Updated stabilizer shock.

Not sure if this is old hat but I called my dealership today and explained my stabilizer shock leak (3 time) and he called back and informed me of an updated shock now available to replace the old shock. He had to order it in. He told me it was updated due to premature failure on the original shock.
Oh, he also mentioned the mounts on the new shock are different.
Hope this helps.

I have read from others that it is bigger than the original stabilizer, however the mounting bracket hangs even lower than the original.

From the pics I have seen, it look like it hangs about the same. However not they put it on with the shock body on the axle bracket not the tie rod. Any idea if that makes a difference?

Heelbound can you share the picture. I'd love to see it. I'm going in next Thursday to get it installed under warranty. I'll post my pictures as well. Thanks in advance.

It's supposed to be the same as the 2010 Jeep stabilizer. My dealer has it on backorder til April. I bashed the old thin one on a rock so now the dealer is replacing it under warranty.

It's really because of their bad design, making it hang down so low anyway.
