Default Torque Slip and Roughness

I LOVE my Jeep! But, got some questions.

Jeep has 14,900 mi. Been off road once since I've owned it. I've since cleaned out all the mud I could find, and changed the engine oil and diff fluids. Bought it used with 7k mi. The following are my issues I'd like insight on:

1) When I start the Jeep from after it sat all night (temps ranging from 70's to 30's) it sounds rough at idle. Rougher than usual. Some days it even makes a rougher noise than I've ever heard. Once it warms up to 150 degrees or more, this roughness seems to go away. It is rough enough, that a guy who owns a YJ asked me, at start up, what I had done to the engine, thinking I had modified it

2) While driving when warmed up, everything feels fine until I drive at 40-50 mph.
I hear a deep bellowing sound and feel it in my gas pedal. The RPM's are around 1,350-1400. My aeroforce interceptor Gauge shows my TCC Slip at anywhere between -10 to 60. If I step on the gas pedal, it bellows and it sounds like it is in too high of a gear. Once I get to 50 mph, it sounds fine again.

3) What is Torque Slip? What is the TCC Slip on my gauge telling me exactly?

Thanks for your help! I love my Jeep and just want to keep it running!

I took it to my dealership and they claimed it was just mud making the noises. I cleaned it pretty well, and couldn't find any more mud :-(

Default Fixed?

Haha, 72 views and no replies...

Well I think I fixed it anyhow.

I have the dual gauge set up of the Aeroforce Interceptors. I thought I'd try to reset my "transmisson Computer" for the lack of a better term. There is a setting called TCU and once selected, will reset your transmission.

Apparently my transmission learned some weird stuff (from me of course). I no longer have the issues I once had..described in the first post (so far).

I'll report more later. Right now, my MPG suck, but I did just reset, it's cold, windy and it's city driving. Stay tuned.
