Default Very annoying rattle??????

Ok I did a search and didn't find anything that applies. I have a rattle that I thought was a heat sink vibrating until yesterday I pushed in the clutch and noticed that it instantly went away. This leads me to believe it has something to do with the driveline. I checked everything for play and found none. Any thoughts or suggestions? Has anyone else noticed this. Its loud enough that you hear it over the wind noise and radio. Hopefully someone can help me out in locating it. I like to know what it is before I go to the dealer and let them keep it for a week to try to find it. Thanks Chris

Maybe a throw out bearing. Does it quit with just a little pressure on the clutch? If you push it in just a little and it stops that would be my guess.

There were 2 big tsb's with manual transmissions for the '07 Wrangler; 06-002-07 (incorrect pre-load on throw out bearing) and 06-004-07 (manual transmission clutch disc). You can research either online by doing a search and if either applies remotely to your condition I would take it in for a repair. It is common, so one of the two (if not both) should correct your situation.

Default TSB's

I printed off both TSB's and no deal. Its not a squeak or squeal. It sounds like a can full of rocks until you push in the clutch. Problem is its not a constant thing. I would get the same old we could not duplicate it answer. Any other ideas?

I have the exact same noise, have you had any luck with a solution?

Turn up your radio and ignore it.

Cat converter internal damage? I also have a rattle. Driving under load no rattle, let the gas off, rattle (no back pressure). Push the clutch in, no rattle (no back pressure). Rubber hammer on the exhaust system, confirmed internal rattle. Possible cause, ceramic internal of cat broken loose. I'll be taking mine to the dealer soon.
