99.9% you got mud stuck on the inside of your rim....clean it out with a hose or use something to scrape the mud out of the inside of the rim. Very normal if you go through slimy, sticky clay mud. The 0.1% you may have lost a weight off your rim.

Did you go through some deep thick mud??? If you did you could have some debris in between your caliper brake pads and rotor. Pop off the tire give the rotor a good rinse with a high pressure hose and it should clean it out.

Things to look at and try.

Does it sound like debris (rock) is caught between the brake pads and the rotor or does it sound like metal on metal grinding? With debris as it's working out from between the pad and rotor will squeel like crazy till it pop's out. If it sounds like metal on metal check for any groves in the rotor you may have a damaged brake pad.

If the washing does not do the trick...try backing up a fair distance to see if the rock/debris will pop out from between the pads and rotor.

Hopefully things work out for you and it's just mud stuck on the rim of the tire and between the brake pads and rotor!
