Question Warning Indicator

On Friday I put on my Teraflex 2.5" BB and 33" tires...everything went smoothly and it looks great. However, tonight I went out to dinner and on the way my low tire pressure indicator went off..it blinked for the minute and then stayed solid (as the owners manuel said), but there's no problem with the tire pressure. Why is this indicator coming up??? It is extremely cold, like negative temps...could that be possible or is it simply because of the larger tires/wheels??? any idea guys/gals...I really don't want the light blinking everytime I drive.

I changed tires this weekend, went from the 215/75/16 (crappy) to a aggressive 265/75/16 ..... I kept the stock wheel steelies though.

Same thing has happened to me......I am going to ask my dealer about this tomorrow morning.

I have a feeling I might have to take it down there to get my parameters changed(something to do with the computer) from the stock to the new tire....since I have the Tire Monitoring system. Not a big deal, really.

Ill let you know what they say.

Best,
Derek

Do you have an '08? If so did you remove the Tire Pressure Sensors from your stock wheels? If you didn't that is why your TPMS light is on.

the TPSM are these wierd things that are on the valve stems, like a cap. not sure because i have an 07, but i think you have to have the dealer reprogram the computer for the 33's otherwise it'll be messed up because its thinking you have a smaller tire and such. has something to do with how fast it rotates and such... i think...

dlud where are your stock wheels/tires, because they have the sensors in them, part of the valve stem on the inside of the tire....

I still have my stock tires and wheels...has anyone changed over the sensors??? I was just concerned that something was really wrong...

I wonder if the dealership could just disengage the indicator????

From what I have read on many forums... the light will stay on forever...it can't "legally" be disabled. Some people have different "procedures" to keep it from coming on but it seems eventually the light comes on unless your sensors are installed.
