Default WARNING! Removing stickers from 2010 Sun Visors

I read a few posts on this forum and thought I would give it a try.

1 heat gun, lots of goo be gone, a razor blade and a citrus peeler and about two hours and NO LUCK.

These things are on there. Now I think I am looking at a new driver side sun shade.

Photo of my mess coming soon.

Anyone know how much a new sun visor is going to cost? Or are they sold in pairs only?

Thanks,

I did the same thing. It pissed me off!

So, then I asked myself... "Why in the heck do I need sunvisors?" Looks good without!

Good point on removing, they defiintely get in the way when taking the top down.

This is the result of all my work, and believe I tried really hard for a long time. Multiple heat gun passes, etc...

You bring up a good point. Someone else a couple weeks ago said he was unsuccessful in
removing those stickers. Whenever anyone asks how to remove stickers, we probably should
mention this.

BTW: Would it be feasible to sand (to lightly scuff, not smooth) and paint the sun visors?

Just go to a sticker maker and design a nice sticker of your choice to cover over your mistake and that ugly factory sticker....I know somebody on the forum made one to go over these stickers....not sure who...

just switch sides so that the sticker faces upwards when the visor is "closed"

Wow! Seriously? It took me less 5 minutes. The only reason it took me that long was because I dropped a screw between the seats. I like the additional visablity.

Sorry for the crappy cell pics.

Here are the two screws.
