Default Waterproof Seats

Ok, I looking at running just a bikini top on my 4dr. I dont like the look or feel of the Neoprene seat covers. has any one ever used Camp Dry or simular silicon spray to water proof the seats?

I had bestop's vinyl ones in my TJ. They were 99% waterproof. If you let water sit on them for a while it would leak through the seams. That is easily remedied with seam sealer like you use for tents (or if you have a trek top :lol

They don't make them for the JK yet. I am waiting for them. IGEE's are pretty much the same thing and look very nice also. I like the styling of the Bestop ones because they look retro. Just like my old CJ seats and I like that style.

I have Iggees. They seem to work pretty well... And the price isn't too bad compared to Wet Okoles (not waterproof)

same here.....and I keep at least two small towels behind the console. One I fold up to sit on, another to wipe the inside of the windshield when -LIGHT- rain gets sucked back across my dash. (like today!)

I got the GT Covers ballistic nylon covers.....they are truly waterproof. They feel like gun holster or camera bag material. Very tough, had them on a year and no issues. Their customer service is second to none, I messed up and ordered '07 rear covers (which are different), I notified the company, they made up the correct components at no charge. Very good people.

The vinyl seats slowly lose their waterproof ability. I haven't been able to fix my door leaks and the passenger seat in one spot quit repelling water. It doesn't get too wet but it doesn't bead or anything.

Default Wet Okalas are the Way!

I don't know why you have a problem with neoprene covers, but I've had a set of Wet Okalas now for about a year and found them to be the most comfortable and best looking covers you can imagine...the price is high, but they are totally waterproof...I do a lot of hunting and surf fishing...I haven't screwed them up yet...I get a lot of unsolicited positive comments about them, and they had no problem with the 3 or 4 storms I had with the top down during this Summer...I luv'em!!!
