I just returned from an 820 mile road trip last week and averaged 19.5 MPG, mostly highway miles. This with a full load of cargo and 3 persons.

I get rather low mpg because all my drives are short and in traffic. When winter comes along it only gets worse cause of using the heater and same goes on really hot summer days when I use the A/C.

Anyways, I'm fine with the low mpg as long as I can continue to afford the gas and not have to cut corners on my budget simply for gas.

I have a 4dr JK, automatic, & 3.73 gears on ~32" stock tires with a Max energy programmer & Magnaflow muffler. No highway driving, but get 15.6 miles city driving...

18 average when commuting to work/daily driving...26 mpg highway cruise set to 65...24 mpg highway cruise set at 70... 19 mpg cruise set at 80. You can actualy see the jeep fight its' way throught the air at higher speeds if you watch the meter close enough.

I was getting 21 with my stock X tires on 17" rims, but when I switched to Rubicon tires, it went down to 19.
I can still get over 21 if I am driving a constant 65mph on the highway.

Well, I haven't done the math, but my stock Sahara gets an average of 11.2L/100km. WHich I'm happy with considering my old XJ got 19L/100km.
