You can fold it down and use the front part as a bikini top. It will keep it snug and from rattling.

Make sure you use the thumb screws.

Yeah it's so you can use the front panels like a bikini top when you remove the rear portion of the roof. You need to flip out those feet so the thumb screws don't overextend and go through the front panels. Of course that's only when the rear portion has been removed otherwise the feet can stay down.
