What does the power button on the rearview mirror do?

What does the power button on the rearview mirror do?

As the title says? When i press the button, the green light shuts off. What is this doing?

you my friend, have the best profile pic- eva!!

Yes, power button for auto dimming mirror. turns things slightly green during the day. barely noticeable.
